OH FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING (revised)

By October 28, 2015No Comments

Oh for a thousand tongues to sing

The glories of my name

The wonders of my ministry

And how I play the game

***

The people listen to my voice

My wisdom to receive

They stand in awe of all I say

My dream is so naive

***

Oh for a thousand compliments

To grace my humble ear

To celebrate my ministry

To bring me constant cheer

***

The presbytery calms my fears

And bids complainers cease

Offers us sabbaticals

Brings life, and health, and peace

***

When exhausted I do fall

My ego to deflate

I ‘ll pray that grace still does abound

My sin God tolerates

This version of the hymn was sung at the Oasis Conference in Kansas, Mo. Two days ago on comedy evening.Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00068]
