IS GOD CRAZY OR WHAT
God called me to ministry.
God called me to gather a group of narcissists and teach them to love each other as neighbors.
God called me to transform a community of possession possessed consumerists into people of extraordinary generosity.
God called me to be a window to light when people experience tragedy and suffering.
God called me to demonstrate courage and hope in the midst of chaos and trust God even when God doesn’t answer.
God called me to demonstrate forgiveness 7 times 70 to all those who insult me and disrespect the ministry.
God called me to love myself but not to take myself too seriously.
God called me to ministry—IS GOD CRAZY OR WHAT?
It’s the WHAT I’m still pondering as we enter 2015.
One definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. God calls us and loves us over and over and over again and expects different results. So, maybe is God is crazy.
I believe a common phrase is “crazy like a fox.” Maybe that is the meaning of “hound of heaven.”
Still I wrestle with the question of what does God know about me in calling me to ministry that I sometimes forget.
