Wednesday of Holy Week

By April 1, 2015No Comments

YOUR PERSONAL LABYRINTH

On this final Wednesday of your Lenten journey, you are invited to again journey around the sanctuary. Tomorrow through Sunday will be an exhausting journey with your people. Use this time as one final opportunity to breathe in the Spirit on your personal journey. This time as you walk around the sanctuary,  treat it as your own personal labyrinth.

PSALM 118: 1-2, 19-29

Stop at various points in the sanctuary and read a single verse from Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29 aloud. Then move to a different location and read another verse aloud.

As you continue on your journey, allow the Spirit to evoke different images from your ministry in response to the verses.

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD

As you come near the end of your time, stand on the top step of the chancel gazing out at the soon-to-be-filled sanctuary and read verses 28-29 aloud and with conviction. Hear the verses having impact on the people who God has called to be part of your ministry.

GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO THIS PLACE

Prepare to celebrate the final days of Holy Week and Easter Sunday with renewed conviction of God’s call in your life.

May you be blessed on your journey.

May you feel the touch of God gently guiding you.

May resurrection greet you at every point where death seems so real.
